How to use this calculator
Enter your total surface area and the rated area that one full package covers for one coat. Choose the number of coats, waste allowance and local package price. The tool converts theoretical demand into a practical whole-package order.
The calculation explained
Equivalent packs = area × coats × (1 + waste ÷ 100) ÷ coverage area per pack per coat. Buy quantity = round up(equivalent packs).
Check these details before ordering
- Enter both the project area and package coverage in the same measurement system.
- Ensure that your coverage figure is explicitly per coat.
- Check return policies before ordering extra packages.
Frequently asked questions
Why are my package numbers rounded up?
You generally must buy a whole bag or tub even if your calculated requirement is fractional.
Does the tool compare different pack sizes?
This version calculates one pack size at a time. You can run it again with another size to compare.
Does remaining pack coverage equal usable leftovers?
Not necessarily. Mixing windows, product shelf life and site conditions can affect whether any leftover material is reusable.
